-My Career in Horse Racing-

I was born in Tipperary, home to Coolmore, and developed a passion for horses at an early age. I started riding at just four years old and began my professional racing career at 18, achieving my first win with the horse Money Point at Limerick.

Throughout my career, I have ridden winners at all tracks in Ireland, including prestigious venues such as Epsom, Cheltenham, and Aintree.

My fist job in racing while still at school was with M.V O’Brien at ballydoyle county tiperary now home to Aidan O’brien

My Awards & Achievements

Flustered, a blushing groom colt purchased at goffs for 2,500gbp, went on to win 6 races including derby day at the curragh.
Nofadbh, winner of 3 times in 7 days.
Marlion, winner of the Irish cambrinshire.
Davids Duky, purchased for 5,000gbp, won the tote eider.
Royal Run, multiple winner including Galway Festival.
I bought 2 cheap yearlings in Kentucky and trained both to win as two yr olds. Scottish Gaelic and Trojan Fan who also won at 3 in Leopardstown having been supported from 12/1 to 9/4 favourite in a typical Barney Curley style coup . Little Trooper a home bred also won at 2.
As an owner, my best horse was purchased for 10,000gbp and won 4 times for m pipe before being part sold for 250,000gbp and soon after finished 3rd in the aintree national.
I also owned Love Triangle trained by David Elsworth and multiple winners trained by john Jenkins Including Silver Mountain , Brave Richard 3 time winner , St Patricks Day ,US Navy Seal, Fine and Dandy 4 time winner.
along with Turbo 3 time winner, lleyton 6 time winner , Dorkas 3 time winner . Pulsating 9 time winner claimed for 5,000.
I also owned Family Business the first ever 999/1 winner won trained by M Pipe and ridden by A.P. Mcoy

James S. Bolger is a well-known thoroughbred racehorse trainer and breeder based in Coolcullen, County Kilkenny. In the 2006 flat season, Bolger trained Teofilo, who won all five of his races as a two-year-old, including the Group 1 National Stakes and Dewhurst Stakes. There was excitement about a possible English Triple Crown bid, but Teofilo suffered a career-ending injury before the 2,000 Guineas and never raced again, leading to criticism of Bolger. In 2007, another star, New Approach, emerged, also remaining unbeaten as a two-year-old. In 2008, Bolger announced plans for New Approach to race in the Guineas at Newmarket, the Irish 2,000 Guineas, and the Irish Derby.

Sir Anthony Peter McCoy OBE, commonly known as A.P. McCoy or Tony McCoy, is a former National Hunt jockey from Northern Ireland. Born on May 4, 1974, he is celebrated as one of the greatest jockeys in horse racing history. McCoy rode a record 4,358 winners and was Champion Jockey for 20 consecutive years, the entire duration of his professional career. He achieved his first winner at age 17 and marked his 4,000th victory in 2013. Notably, he won almost every major race in British and Irish jumps racing, including the Cheltenham Gold Cup, Champion Hurdle, and the Grand National in 2010 on Don’t Push It. He retired in 2015, leaving behind an unparalleled legacy in the sport.

James Anthony "Seamie" Heffernan, born on July 17, 1972, is an accomplished Irish flat racing jockey, primarily known for his long association with trainer Aidan O'Brien. Coming from a non-racing background, Heffernan was introduced to the sport through a summer job with National Hunt trainer Arthur Moore. He began his career as an apprentice jockey under P.J. Finn, securing his first winner on August 10, 1988, at just 16 years old. After Finn's retirement, Heffernan joined Jim Bolger's yard, where he shared the Irish champion apprentices title in 1994 and was runner-up in 1995. In 1996, he moved to Aidan O'Brien's Ballydoyle stable, becoming the second jockey after Christy Roche, and has since established a prominent reputation in the racing world.

William Peter Mullins is a prominent Irish racehorse trainer and former jockey. He has been a remarkable force in National Hunt racing, holding the title of Irish National Hunt Champion trainer 17 times. Mullins is also the most successful trainer in the history of the Cheltenham Festival, having saddled over 100 winners, showcasing his exceptional skill and expertise in the sport.

I rode a number of winners for Paddy Mullins. His first winner was Flash Parade, who triumphed in the 1953 La Touche at Punchestown. Primarily known as a jump trainer, he enjoyed significant success with six Cheltenham Festival wins, four Irish National victories, and ten Irish jump trainers' titles. Among his greatest achievements were training the mare Dawn Run, who won both the Champion Hurdle in 1984 and the Gold Cup in 1986, with Jonjo O'Neill as the jockey. Dawn Run is commemorated with a statue overlooking the Cheltenham paddock. Additionally, Mullins secured the 2003 Irish Oaks with Vintage Tipple and trained Hurr Harriet to victory in the 1973 Champion Stakes at Newmarket.

Aidan Patrick O'Brien is a highly esteemed horse racing trainer, known for his exceptional success in flat racing. Since 1996, he has served as the private trainer at Ballydoyle Stables in County Tipperary for John Magnier and Coolmore Stud. O'Brien is widely regarded as one of the greatest trainers in horse racing history, having trained numerous champions and amassed a record number of Group 1 victories. His strategic approach and deep understanding of horse racing have led to remarkable achievements, including multiple wins in prestigious races such as the Epsom Derby and the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. O'Brien's influence on the sport and his commitment to excellence have established him as a legendary figure in the racing community.
